Moving Through with God’s Presence
Scripture
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.” —Isaiah 43:2 (NIV)
Reflection
Loss is common to most; the loss of a job, a limb, the loss of a pet or the loss of a loved one. How we grieve these losses is personal. Grief is a lifelong process. It is a process of moving forward or moving through rather than moving on. Whatever the loss, to deny one’s self the opportunity and the permission to grieve is a mistake. So GO AHEAD! Cry, scream, take a moment, laugh, run, pray. Do whatever you do to move through the pain and uncertainty of loss. Just keep moving through. God promises to walk with us every step of the way.
Prayer
God, walk with me as I journey forward. Give me the wisdom to know when to push forward or when to stand still and mark time. Help me to trust You in the process. Amen.
